The Words That Remained Unspoken!

I wish I could explain the depth in his eyes, how his voice gave her butterflies, his smile made her skip a beat and how every time when he was with her, made her feel complete. It was her first day at office. 

Looking at the rain outside and her hysterical emotions, he offered her a drive to her home. She knew it already that she could trust him. She didn’t refuse the offer and thanked him with a smile. There was traffic jam everywhere on the roads due to rains, and she almost forgot her new address. But he kept driving and finding her house patiently. 

That night, they bid goodbye to each other with a handshake, however something touched her soul deeply. A month passed, they both used to share smiles but didn’t ever say a thing. He wrote what he felt for her, and one more note was being added in his draft every day. Her study table was messy due to fragrant pens and pink papers; only her dustbin knew how much she loved him.

Every night she used to think, if only he knew, and went on to sleep. Every night he used to think, if only she knew, and stayed awake. He kept himself busy outside home; trying to forget her. Because he knew that it’s not possible. 

7 years passed but nothing changed. Although one day she couldn’t hold herself and called him to listen to his voice. He answered, “Wrong number”, with a heavy voice!
